LAKE ALMANOR, CA and ATLANTA, GA (September 7, 2010) ‐ As the use of clinical information systems
expand to achieve Meaningful Use, many organizations are looking to Chief Medical Officers (CMIO) to
drive clinical informatics strategy. Recognizing the need to assist newly developing CMIOs quickly
embrace their roles, the Association of Medical Directors of Information Systems (AMDIS) and Maestro
Strategies, LLC, (Maestro) have joined forces to create CMIO Advisors, LLC.

“Today’s CMIO is becoming a critical leader in the development of clinical integration, evidence based
medicine, quality measurement and clinical transformation strategies,” said Richard L. Rydell, MBA,
AMDIS president and executive director. “By leveraging the knowledge and experience of industryrecognized,
seasoned CMIOs, we can provide the training and guidance to help today’s CMIO become
effective immediately.”

practice.” added Mr. Rydell. “Maestro was the right partner for AMDIS to offer organizations one
partner to help them build their CMIO program.”
