Our History
Maestro Strategies, LLC was founded in 1989 to serve the healthcare industry. Based in Atlanta, we are a nationally recognized firm with consultants throughout the country.
We provide objective advisory services and are known for our industry leading insights. Like healthcare, our services have evolved over the past twenty+ years.
1990’s: Founded as Wilcox Arlotto & Associates, Inc. the firm focused on productivity improvement, patient focused care delivery redesign, decision support strategies and enterprise information systems assessments for hospitals throughout the country. We launched our vendor advisory services to provide operations improvement services to healthcare software and services companies.
Noteworthy engagements included: HIMSS’s first strategic plan as an independent entity, patient focused care facilitation for numerous large health systems and reengineering of implementation services, R&D and customer service for promenent HIT vendors.
2000’s: As one of the first healthcare consulting firms to redefine value by aligning healthcare business strategy with information technology strategy, Maestro is known for our ground breaking work on the Return on Investment of HIT.
We helped healthcare leaders at provider organizations govern and prioritize their technology investments more effectively. Strategies for software vendors, professional services firms, associations and health information exchanges included development of value propositions, market penetration plans, and product management plans.
Our track record includes: CCHIT’s business plan for the Office of the National Coordinator, launch of a statewide quality information exchange, clinical transformation strategies for a variety of health systems, turnaround plans for IT departments and vendor organizations, and other projects described in our Client Success Stories.
2010 and Beyond: As with our clients, we are committed to the 21st century healthcare organization. Patient centered interoperable health records will drive a new need for “systems-thinking” and clinical decision support skills and capabilities. Maestro Strategies will continue to provide services to assist clients in this transformation to ensure:
