Business Plan - Certification Commission for Health Information Technology
Founded in 2004, CCHIT developed a voluntary, consensus-based process engaging diverse stakeholders for the purpose of certifying EHR and other clinical information technologies.   Maestro Strategies developed the first business plan for CCHIT as required by the Office of the National Coordinator. 

Results:

  • Reviewed CCHIT’s current status, near term objectives, long term vision, governance structure, internal organization, management team, and operational challenges
  • Understood industry response to certification program, benchmarked certification in other industries and ONC’s overall strategic direction
  • Developed specific business plan components including:
    • Market – Value proposition, market segments and market size
    • Products and Services – Current offering, new development, revenue streams and partnerships

Due Diligence – Dorenfest Database for the Healthcare Information & Management Systems Society
HIMSS Analytics is a wholly-owned, not-for-profit subsidiary of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). The HIMSS Analytics Database was originally derived from the Dorenfest IHDS+ Database™.  Maestro Strategies conducted the original due diligence prior to the acquisition of the database and creation of HIMSS Analytics.

Results:

  • Interviewed existing customers regarding satisfaction with services, pricing, data elements and packaging
  • Developed recommendations regarding future product development and expansion
